Great meal with great friends. Ask to sit in the room that isn't above the deli counter or it can be a bit cool. Starters were just the right size. Lobster bisque, home made chicken liver parfait, confit duck, black pudding with goose egg. All tasty. Main courses fish and chips with home made tartar sauce, treacle cured salmon with chili noodles( bit spicy). Home made fish pie, would have been slightly more flavoursome with smoked haddock or salmon added.Just had enough room for desert. Total with two bottles of wine140Need to book

The food was lovely but slow service. No side plates on the table. Think we should've been given different knives for the beef as it was only just cooked and was very hard to cut with the knives provided. The food is delicious though

My husband and I had a lovely meal tonight at this fabulous Restaurant, the staff are very friendly and happy to assist you with anything you like including somewhere cool to sit. I would recommend this fabulous Restaurant to any one one who likes to eat fine foods and drink fine wines. So looking forward to going again there.can we thank all the staff and sheffs for a fantastic night. Merry Christmas to all x x

Tried for the first time after a recommendation. Think our timing was out as the service was slow due to a group of girls at a baby shower. There was only one serving and where we sat there was three tables that needed clearing. By the time we left after enjoying our food one table still needed clearing along with ours.Three menus to choose from as it's Festive menu time. Very good choices on all menus with very fair pricing.Worth giving it a try .

The food is delicious BUT if you have a vegan in your party FORGET IT! Although they say they can produce a vegan option if told in advance, it does not instill confidence as, on most occasions, cafes & restaurants without vegan choices in their menu fail to deliver inspired, balanced or tasty offerings. As a number of family & friends are either vegetarian or vegan and many vegetarians are fed up with most choices being either cheese or mushrooms. Even though this restaurant is in our locality and we would love to support local business, it doesn't offer adequate choices. The vegetarian options appear to be heavy on dairy - not good for me as a vegetarian / vegan as my cholesterol is v high.
